Developing new technologies to bring more missing children home safely.

Beaverton, OR. – March 8, 2021 – Today, Q5id and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) announced a partnership to help keep kids safer throughout the United States. NCMEC and Q5id will partner to elevate awareness of missing children and build technology to assist in finding missing children.

In the most recent data from the  FBI, there were more than 420,000 reports of missing children in a single year.  For more than three decades, NCMEC has worked with law enforcement, local communities and corporate partners to recover missing children. NCMEC operates a 24-hour hotline (1-800-THE-LOST or 1-800-843-5678) and sends information about missing children through social media and a network of secondary AMBER alert distributors. This new partnership with Q5id will help NCMEC leverage new technologies and apps to get the message out about missing children.

“NCMEC’s priority is to find missing children in our country, and continually improve the way we search for our kids. Social media and technology have been a big part of our success,” said John Clark, NCMEC President and CEO. “By partnering with Q5id, we have yet another strong technology partner to help bring even more children home in the future.”
