Biometric authentication is simply the process of verifying your identity using your unique measurements and other unique characteristics of your face, voice, and palms.

No. All you need to access your Q5id is your unique biometric passkey of face and palm. Launch the App and quickly scan your face and palm and you have access to proceed with any transaction or interaction.
- Face: Every face has a unique biometric signature. Facial biometrics capture this. Only these individual data points are stored.
- Palms: We take images of both left and right palms to lock in your unique biometric pass key.
- Voice: Every voice is unique; we record three samples of the same text to build your complete biometric profile.
- ID Scan: We scan your existing ID and check for any irregularities. You have an opportunity to check this information to make sure it is correct.
To ensure the identity does not have any signs of fraud. It may also help allow us to alert our members' fraud alerts they may not have otherwise been aware of.
We do share a limited anonymized Q5id member number so businesses can track who has and hasn’t redeemed certain rewards or participated in exclusive promotional deals but only with our members' consent. When you authenticate your identity for a transaction, we will share your membership status and an anonymized Q5id member number with our mutual partner or the company you’re conducting business with.
You may choose to share your personal info with individual mutual commercial partners if doing so saves you time in filling out a required application (for example for a new bank account or credit card).
Participation is optional, and you will be able to deactivate/disable an account at any time, and your PII will be deleted, destroyed or anonymized at that time. Please check your account under member login.
Most data is processed and stored on the users own device. This is by design and limits the risk of exposure to your information. The customer information we need to deliver our service is limited and stored in our secure Q5id Database.
